So I'd like to take an opportunity to talk about something very close to my heart. Something that is in grave danger of being lost if immediate action isn't taken. I know that many of you are probably unaware of the importance of this endangered institution. But if you were, are or ever plan to be a mother of young children - Please keep reading!
It may still be alive and thriving in your home, but all too soon it will start to vanish - just like it is in my home right now! Please help us do something. What am I so concerned about, you ask?
Need A Pm Sleep, or "afternoon NAPS" (as it's more commonly known) has virtually become extinct in my household. The devistation and calamity its absense has wreaked on our domestic environment is indescribable! Take action now, before your family is next! ;)

So my mother and I just spent the entire day packing and tag-team parenting my hooligans. I. AM. EXHAUSTED. Exhausted, but on a huge adrenaline rush. I'm a purging and packing machine! Have any junk you need ruthlessly disposed of? I'm your girl. Seriously though, you should have seen the mounds of crap we were wading through. I'd pick something up and say, "I'm conflicted, this (insert name of random piece of junk here) is totally useless, takes up space and should have been thrown out years ago. I don't know why I keep it." And then proceed to PACK IT! Thankfully the look of disgust on my mom's face would snap me back to reality. I love having her around when I'm sorting my junk - she knows just how to lovingly shame me into dealing with my "pack-rat"itis. Thanks mom, I love you!
So just a kitchen left to pack and then all that odds and ends and cleaning. Wahoo! I'm so ready to be done.
I'm gonna head off to bed now - probably to dream of entire landfills full of "I'm sure I'll find a use for it" stuff trying to shove itself into my hall closet. You know how some kids have safety blankets? I'm totally sleeping with a safety garbage bag tonight!

6 days and counting
So we're moving.... I'm not sure whether to end that sentence with an exclamation point or a frown-y face. Of course I'm excited - new ward, new home, no job for the summer. However, I cannot deny the stresses - I've been "single parent"ing it for almost 3 months (not as difficult as I thought, but infinitely less productive), packing with a toddler (I turn my back to add an item to a box an return to find it's contents strewn throughout multiple rooms). But the worst have been the good-byes. Not to friends yet, but the weekly good-byes to Trevor. We just had him home for the weekend again (thanks to our good friend Dustin A.) and just as we start to enjoy our time, he's off. Then comes the waterworks, the tantrums, the pouting and whining - me, not Josh! Kidding. But seriously, I think sometimes my independent spirit and jokey attitude hold me back from really expressing some of the important feelings. So here goes...
Trevor is my best friend, my most beloved critic, an unconditional source of support and the love of my life. I don't say it enough, but I love him with more emotion than I am even able to really understand, I can only feel it. And it overwhelms me.

wish i'd learned this yesterday
Okay, I got this in an email from my father-in-law today. It made me laugh and I thought it would be a great place holder.
All, Please heed this warning. It could happen to you.
TICK WARNING!
I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally...
But this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list. If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.
I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.
